How We Refreshed a 22-Page Firm Site in 4 Days Without Rewriting a Word
The starting point
The client was a boutique management consulting firm. 22 pages. A WordPress site built in 2016. The design was not embarrassing, it was just obviously dated. Slow. Not mobile-friendly. Missing SEO basics. And the homepage had no clear call to action.
They had been meaning to address it for two years. They got three agency quotes ranging from $18,000 to $34,000. They were told it would take three to four months. They kept deferring.
Then they found us.
Day 1: Scan and analysis
We ran our automated crawler across all 22 pages. The crawler extracts every piece of content: headings, body copy, navigation structure, images, contact information, practice area descriptions, team bios.
In parallel, our analysis pipeline flagged the specific issues:
- Mobile viewport not set
- No Open Graph tags
- Page speed score of 31 on mobile
- Copyright year showing 2019
- No H1 on four pages
- No sitemap.xml
The client reviewed a summary and approved moving forward. That was the extent of their involvement on day one.
Day 2 and 3: Generation and assembly
Our pipeline ran the extracted content through our design and code generation system. This is not a template... it reads the actual structure and content of the site and generates components specific to it.
The output:
- A Next.js 15 application with proper app router structure
- One component per content type (hero, practice areas, team grid, contact form, etc.)
- Tailwind CSS for all styling — mobile-first
- Proper semantic HTML throughout
- Schema.org markup for the organization
- Sitemap.xml auto-generated
- Canonical tags on every page
We assembled, ran the consistency check suite (build, lint, type check, route validation, mobile screenshots), and resolved the handful of issues it flagged.
Day 4: Review and delivery
We sent the client a staging link. They spent about 45 minutes reviewing it. They had two feedback items:
- They wanted the phone number in the header to be more prominent
- One team member's bio photo was not cropping well in the circular format
We addressed both within the hour. They approved. We handled deployment to their Vercel account.
Total time from their side: approximately 90 minutes across four days.
The result
- Page speed score: 94 on mobile (up from 31)
- Fully mobile responsive across all 22 pages
- All SEO basics in place
- A site that looks current and professional
- A codebase they own and can modify
The client sent this a week after delivery:
"We had a prospect mention they looked at our site before scheduling a call and said it looked really clean and professional. That has never happened before."
Why this is possible
The reason we can do in 4 days what takes agencies 4 months is that we are not starting from zero. The content exists. The brand exists. The structure exists. We are modernizing the execution, not inventing a new one.
Agencies price for bespoke work because they build bespoke. We built infrastructure for a specific, repeatable task: taking a site that works but looks dated, and making it fast, modern, and professional.
